Large-headed woolly yarrow is threatened because it is endemic to northern Saskatchewan. In addition, most local populations are small. This species occurs at least in part in the Athabasca Sand Dunes Provincial Wilderness Park and is protected under Provincial Park legislation; however, the sand dune habitat in which it grows is very fragile. | |||||||||||||||
