Bog rosemary is vulnerable in Saskatchewan because it is rare or uncommon and occurs in only one general region of the province. These plants are usually locally numerous in limited areas. No threats are known or anticipated at the present time.
 
SPECIES DESCRIPTION
 
Roots: creeping
Stems: erect, 10 – 30 cm high, little branched
Leaves: persistent, alternate, 1 – 5 cm long, > 2 mm wide, linear to narrowly elliptic, tip tapered to a short point, white beneath with minute hairs, leathery, margins rolled under
Inflorescence: dense, nodding clusters at ends of branches; flower stalks < 1 cm long
Flowers: sepal lobes ~ 1 mm long; petals 5 – 7 mm long, urn-shaped, 5-lobed, pinkish; stamens 10, anthers awned and opening by pores; ovary superior
Fruits: capsule nearly round, loculicidal
