basal leaves palmately divided, green, villous above, densely tomentose and villous below; petioles greater than 3 times as long as blade, floccose with curly hairs only

Leaflets:

5, broad, mostly obovate, slightly coriaceous, white tomentose, coarsely toothed or lobed (to nearly pinnatifed), apical tooth longer than lateral teeth

Inflorescence:

few to several-flowered, not very leafy

Flowers:

calyx ovate to lanceolate; corolla exceeding the calyx, yellow, obcordate

Fruits:

achenes glabrous
